Fiona’s Monthly Wishlist

For me, October is all about self-care and feeling good within myself. The kids are all back at school, classes and courses are back on after a long summer, and my daughter has just about settled into nursery, and that dreaded heart sinking feeling of having to collect her early at any moment in the day is becoming a thing of the past. I’ve been harvesting apples, baking pies and making pumpkin soup, and have had the absolute delight of shopping the Daylesford warehouse sale last week, which filled my home with candles and Bamford ‘things’ I had no idea I needed or loved- but now I do. So without further ado, some of the bits and pieces in my shopping basket for this coming month … and why!

To get the Daylesford thing out of the way, I got some warehouse-sale-price candles, which immediately had me stocking up on full-price scents that are filling my home with a luxurious country vibe I’m really loving at the moment. Not quite as fragrant as Diptique or the La Labo one I am obsessed with also, but sort of mildly warming.

I’ve done something weird to my back, so have been spending more time than usual in bed and sitting down, which feels good in a way bit also strangely unusual. I have more time than usual to think about face contouring and lymphatic drainage, so have recently added a new guasha to my skincare routine. I have been using all of Dr. David Jack’s skincare products for years now, and am really enjoying his latest addition, which is the supernova antioxidant gel cleanser. In complete honesty when I first ordered it, I didn’t read what the product actually was (I fully blame being pregnant with a toddler), and assumed it was a serum, so used it underneath my night cream for about a week- no harm done, and me, the woman who breaks out when I so much as glance at a piece of chocolate or a glass of wine, didn’t.

I have been really expanding on my Barbour collection over the last few months, which may feel a little excessive, but honestly it’s all I am wearing in the country, and they are all friends want to throw on when they come up from London wearing cashmere or a wool coat on a dog walk (lol). So I’ve added a slightly heavier weight Barbour for real autumnal country weather, and have already been getting lots of wear out of it this week. Can only recommend- or just come over, and you can wear mine!

In line with autumnal country vibes, a good pair of jeans (altered with a maternity band for me- which I think is the best way of going about wearing trousers in pregnancy - message me to chat about this, I have a lot to say!), I’ve added a pair by Reformation this month. I also feel the Uniqlo JW Anderson jeans could be cool too, and are sort of along the same train of thought.

I generally add gold Cartier watches to my wishlists always, in the hope that my husband will at some point pick up the hint..

And on that bombshell, I’ve been carefully choosing my Foundrae stack, which I’m loving the idea of. In my head I am looking for charms that represent both of my children, and maybe the pets if they get lucky…

I carry around a Smythson note book everywhere, and jot down to-dos from client discussions, logistics and orders to doctors appointments, shopping lists and even small journal entries. To anyone who ever stumbles across one of my booklets- this is my entire life and it honestly doesn’t get more personal than that. So please, return to sender.

Different to my usual chat-based-media conversational commerce concept, all pieces can be purchased directly by clicking through on the links in the text, or by clicking on the image, and into my personalised moodboard.

Happy shopping and I’d love to chat about what you’re shopping and dreaming of at the moment.
