Looks I’m Loving at the Moment
I’m trying something new. What used to be weekly styling edits sent via conversational commerce, and shop-able through chat based media, are slowly turning into inspiration pages with click-able links, where consumers can buy directly from the various retailers, if that’s the direction they prefer. And I get it, you don’t always want to be chit chatting with someone about the trouser you want to try, especially if it’s not custom, not made to order, not pre-order and just a simple e-com purchase. So here they are! Hopefully made really simple and easy, I’ve added in alternatives for every piece, because sometimes you want a slightly tighter fitting top, or a different style shoe based on your existing wardrobe, and personal needs. I’d love to make these as regularly as possible, and am still here to chat fashion, looks and for any ideas and feedback you might have!
Look One
There is something about this colour that got me completely head over heels to recreate the look - or perhaps it’s the tonal colour blocking that I love. It’s simple and it’s elegant, it’s chic, but it feels effortless and comfortable. I picked a knit by Khaite, which is timeless and slightly oversized, and teamed my version with a pair of cotton corduroy wide-leg pants by one of my favourite brands at the moment RÓHE, a slightly more fitted version than the inspiration image, but also a little bit more November-appropriate. You could do a pair of sneakers, or also a classic loafer with this look, and keep it super luxe with a 30 or 35cm Hermès Birkin bag.
Look Two
Cow print is arguably the new leopard print, which adds a bit of spice to an otherwise clean and classic look. We put together a full cow-print edit a few weeks ago (which if you’re interested in seeing, I’ll send over to you- just get in touch!). Here the hero of the outfit is the Gabriela Hearst Phaedra cashmere maxi skirt, which for me is more of a realistically style-able option than a trouser, and feels really current and fresh, but also still quite feminine and luxe. I’d wear this look with any classic black ballet pump, and love the idea of a leather jacket for cooler days.
Look Three
It doesn’t get more classic than a light blue button down shirt, and light blue and brown screams luxury and ease. There are a few really good Gabriela Hearst shirt options, and I also love Dior and Frame for day shirts, but I picked an option by The Row here, teamed with The Frankie Shop trousers, although Aje does a cool pair of leather brown pants and Le Monde Beryl leather Mary-Jane flats. This feels like a chic work look for me, but also sort of a cool girl version of a lunch or coffee date look in the city, which is so far from my personal reality at the moment that I’m day dreaming and living vicariously through it.
Look Four
This is such a cosy look for me, that weirdly reminds me of my mother growing up - maybe it’s the textured bucket hat, and the Italian vibes it gives? Brown shades for me are so chic and so Autumnal but also real forever pieces that will stay with you for a lifetime. I know the Malone Souliers heels in the inspiration image are custom, and therefore the perfect shade of beige suede, but I’ve attached a few readily available options on the click through link, and custom or made to order shoes can always be arranged with our personal shopping team, should this be a road you’d like to travel.
Look Five
This feels very me, every day. Rain approved looks that don’t seem too precious but still cosy and fashionable somehow. I don’t often wear leather, but transitional Autumnal days call for a sturdy leather top that is slightly rain resistant and cool. I’ve also been religiously collecting tiny triangle cashmere scarves this Season, which complete a look so whole heartedly. This one is by The Row, but Jacquemus do some cute neutral colours gros grain scarves that work well also. Sneakers are Dries, but any Adidas, or if you’re much cooler than me a collab of course would do!
Look Six
Green is so truly my favourite shade at the moment, I painted almost every room in the house we moved into in April a different shade of green. Perhaps it’s the calming, nurturing vibe it exudes, or maybe I just love that it feels elegant and classic in a very fresh sort of way. The knit here is Ganni, and the bag is a shape by Alaïa that I’m loving at the moment. Teamed with leather gloves by either The Row or Khaite and wide leg trousers by Saint Laurent, this may just be the perfect casual but chic day to night look- shopping to coffee to lunch to dinner to cocktails. It’s here for all of it.
