What to Shop this Week
As we’re drawing ever closer to the end of the year, and the festive period, we’re knee-deep in the super flu that seems to be taking over the UK this Winter in my household. One of the many joys of a nursery-aged toddler are the viruses and bugs they seem to bring home on a weekly basis. It’s no wonder therefore, that I am gravitating towards cosy knits and thick coats, shearling and gloves this week, in an attempt to stay warm and bundled up.
As always, all looks are shop-able by clicking through the image and into the mood-board, where you will be lead directly to the various retailers and brands.
Look One
I love this Helsa arctic knit, and how cosy it seems, and am also sort of in love with the idea that influencers are styling what used to be the 80s ski-jumpers I desperately tried to avoid having to wear from my mothers wardrobe growing up. the belt gives it a bit of shape and the Andres Otalora trousers elevate the look into something Mayfair approved. Finishing touches include the now classic Chanel 25 bag and bordeaux leather gloves by Bottega Veneta.
Look Two
The Toteme wool jacket here creates an effortless, chic silhouette which I am really liking over chunky knitwear. I chose a green fair isle cashmere cardigan by a brand called ARCH4, and love how it is teamed with a pair of wide leg trousers, like these ones by Kallmeyer, but equally as cool would be a pair of wide leg jeans by Good American for example. Sunglasses and sneakers and some good must-have jewellery by Kamyen and Spinelli Kilcollin turn this otherwise simple look into something really luxe.
Look Three
Kelly Rutherford has been serving looks for a while now, and as always I love her incredibly elegant take on winter whites with this mohair blend knit by Loewe and pleated twill skirt by Brunello Cucinelli. Shoes can be more edgy, or classic like these Gabriela Hearst Agathe pumps. I’ve chosen a Toteme clutch, because I’m really loving the shape at the moment, and am really enjoying the idea of a white version for winter, and of course my all time favourite Hermes lip balm- which I do not leave the house without!
Look Four
Incase you haven’t gathered, I’m a fan of a classic look, one that is wearable and timeless, and nothing is more timeless to me than a pair of flared jeans. These ones are SLVLAKE and more of a boot cut than a classic flare, but just flared enough to look cool over the Khaite Andee ankle boots. Coat wise, you have a variety of options here to recreate, and could go full fur or faux, but I really love the Nour Hammour shearling option, which can be brought out year after year, and always look put together but cool.
Look Five
This is a real ‘me’ get up, with a pair of Les Tien track bottoms and a good hoodie (this one is the Les Tien x Raoul collaboration, teamed with a pair of UGGs that I use as house shoes at the moment, cashmere socks and a cool Isabel Marant Coat to round off the casual get up nicely. The gloves are Toteme and the earrings are Sydney Evan with a pair of Prada glasses, you cannot go wrong with now, or for the transitional Season into Spring.
Look Six
Another real classic, and a slightly different take on the same vibe as above, I love the leather and shearling Toteme coat over a pair of really classic Agolde light denim jeans and thin light grey Gabriela Hearst knit. The boots of course are a wardrobe staple, the Gianvito Rossi Wylie Dover ankle boots and the Marlo 17 by The Row in dark brown teamed with an all time favourite and real wardrobe must-have; the Jennifer Fisher Natasha huggies.
